Some window cleaning companies charge by the number of window panes. A window pane can be defined as a single piece of glass that is framed on all sides. This is not the basis of pricing for all companies. Some charge by the hour or the square footage of the house. The price for window cleaning can vary dramatically depending on your location. However a general cost for just window cleaning is about $3 to $8 per pane of glass. For example, a 1,300 sq foot house may have about 20 panes of glass and would cost about $60 - $160; if you have a third floor windows or higher the cost usually runs about $3 to $6 dollars higher per pane. Additional costs may apply for areas such as screen cleaning or sliding glass door cleaning.
